United States Seafoods acquired the former NOAA Marine Operations Center site on Lake Union in 2012. The company, which specializes in fishing for cod, mackerel, sole, and perch in the Bering Sea and the North Pacific Ocean off the coast of Alaska, plans to move its headquarters from its current South Park location to the Lake Union site.

The five-acre property in the Eastlake neighborhood is composed of a two-story, 17,000 square foot office building; 12,000 square foot warehouse; and three docks that can accommodate approximately 20 of United States Seafoods' vessels, ranging in size from 100 to 375 feet in length.
