Pike Place Market Renovation Phase 1
Pike Place Market Renovation Phase 1

Pike Place Market Renovation

85 Pike Street, Seattle, WA
CLIENT: City of Seattle Pike Place Market Preservation & Development Authority
PROJECT COST: $55 million

The Pike Place Market is one of Seattle's top tourist destinations, averaging 10 million visitors annually. The Pike Place Market houses hundreds of shops and stalls, in addition to providing low income housing to 500 residents spread throughout eight buildings.

The $55 million renovation focused on the replacement of aging core infrastructure including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, with a new central plant and electrical vault. Under Jackie's lead, Turner Construction worked closely with Pike Place Market to develop a comprehensive phasing plan to minimize the disruption to tenants and the public. The Market remained fully operational through the duration of this project.

The project was completed while Jackie Costigan was at Turner Construction, under Jackie’s leadership.
Role on project: General Contractor/Construction Manager.
