Corbis Headquarters, Dexter Horton Building

710 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA
CLIENT: Corbis
PROJECT COST: $6.5 Million

The Corbis Headquarters project was a fast-track 70,000 square foot office space tenant improvement. Immediately after earthquake repairs and seismic upgrades, the Dexter Horton Building's interior space was gutted, leaving only the original 1924 vault spaces, vault doors, and marble and terrazzo floors.

The project included two custom staircases and a large intermediate steel mezzanine, office space, conference rooms, the company’s main data center, and an imaging lab. The completed data center included the installation of a N+1 Redundancy system consisting of dual cooling towers, emergency generator, 1,200 gallon fuel tank, automatic transfer switch, Power Distribution Units (PDU), Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS), and raised flooring with under-floor cooling and fire suppression consisting of pre-action and FM-200.

The project was completed while Jackie Costigan was at Turner Construction, under Jackie’s leadership.
Role on project: General Contractor/Construction Manager.
