AIA Office Space

American Institute of Architects Seattle Chapter Office

1911 First Avenue, Seattle, WA
CLIENT: American Institute of Architects Seattle Chapter
PROJECT COST: $200,000

Work for the American Institute of Architects’s Seattle Chapter included preconstruction and project management services for their office renovation. The scope was typical for downtown tenant improvements; the challenge was in managing the people and the process. The space was designed by the Young Architects Forum, a subset of AIA Seattle comprised of young professionals new to the architecture field. Additionally, as part of AIA’s collaborative approach, all field operations were managed by another local general contractor. This LEED Silver project was successfully completed by keeping communication lines running, the work on schedule, and the budget in-line with the design intent.

The project was completed while Jackie Costigan was at Turner Construction, under Jackie’s leadership.
Role on project: General Contractor/Construction Manager
